Career

Jan Guijarro Usobiaga studied political sciences at the Universitat Pomepu Fabra of Barcelona (UPF) from 2002 to 2006 (Licenciatura/Diplom). In 2006 he was accepted to the Center for Advanced Studies in Social Sciences (CEACS) at the Juan March Foundation in Madrid. In 2009 he studied the Master in Sociology and Demography at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). In 2010 he entered the PhD program at the Graduate School in Social and Economic Sciences at the University of Mannheim. In 2015 he completed his PhD with a thesis on "Personality Traits and Social Inequality". At the same year, he became the title of Doctor Miembro (Member Doctor) of the CEACS - Juan March Foundation.

Since 2011 he has been teaching methodological courses at the University of Mannheim and he has been responsible for the B.A.-thesis colloquium for many years.
